Week 8

Last week, when our class had a break from doing all these blogs we started to research on what we're going to plan on doing with our pictures in the future. I also researched on how to take good pictures with the macro lens that we're using for our iPhones. I finally learned how to take pictures with the AE/AF lock, it was easy really all you had to do is hold your finger on the screen for a couple of seconds until the blue square pulses. I learned so much new things during the research, me and my group got some random ideas that we're going to start to take pictures of. There was this one idea that we picked up that really amazed us. The idea was to take pictures of donuts! That I think was the most tastiest topic we had all month. So for this week me and my group decided to take more pictures of different kinds of donuts! Week 7

Last weeks topic was small trees. It was interesting taking pictures of the small plants that we could find in our back yards or our front yards. Now, this week we're going to take picture of coins! Did you guys know that most coins can circulate for about 25 years before they become too worn to be used anymore? Me and my group will take a picture of what coins look like up close and we'll see what we can find. I'm excited to take a picture of a penny with macro lens because i bet i will find something really small sticking on it like peoples skin or something. Me and my group decided also that we should also get some different coins like Chinese coins and Filipino coins and see the differences with them. We're also going to compare which coin looks dirtier up close with these macro lenses. I can't wait for this since i actually have a lot of coins in my drawer.

Week 6

Last weeks topic was about flowers. Now, this week our topic will be about plants. Did you know that the world's tallest-growing tree is the coast redwood (Sequoia sempervirens: It's scientific name), which grows along the Pacific Coast of the United States, mainly in California. Interestingly enough, it's not the world's oldest-growing tree. Me and my group will take pictures of different kind of trees, or like what people don't notice in trees. We'll also try to take pictures of the insects or type of animals that lives inside the tree, and try to name what kind of tree it is. We'll also make sure to find some small trees like sapling and look up what kind of tree it will be in a couple of years. Me and my group will not just look for any tree that wee see everyday, we'll take close pictures of trees like oak trees and or like willow trees. Some trees that most people don't see everyday.

Week 5

Last weeks topic is was jewelry and this week is about flowers. Did you know that roses are valued for their romantic symbolism, but their blooms are also edible and have the flavors of green apples and strawberries? One of my favorite flowers is a Moonflower or Ipomoea alba (it's scientific name) because they smell really good to me. I started liking Moonflowers when i was little about 5-6 years old, my grandma always takes me to help her with her garden to fix things and i will always smell that plant everywhere. Me and my group will start taking pictures that we can found on our back yard or on our front yard. I'm thinking that this week topic would be easy for me since my mom has a lot of flowers on the front yard. Our goal this week is that we're  going to try to take some good flower pictures. Week 4

Welcome to my weekly 20 percent project blog. Last weeks topic was water. Did you know almost four million people die each year from water related diseases? And this weeks topic is  to take any  jewelry. Patrick and Devina took pictures of things that include water. One of the pictures that they took is what water looks like on a leaf. So me and my group talked about who is going to be taking pictures of jewelry for this week. They decided that i should take pictures of some jewelry. So far we got one picture a diamond, hopefully i can ask my mom if i could borrow one of her jewelry and if i could take a picture of it for our weekly blog. She wont even probably trust me with her jewelries, then if she doesn't that's going to be a problem for me since i wont be able to take a picture of those shiny things that she has. Week 3

This is the third week of our 20 percent project. Last week our topic was insects. For this week, the topic is water. We decided to take pictures of water because we would like to enlarge the things that people don't see everyday in waters. Some people doesn't see what we have in the waters that we drink. I can't wait what turns out during this week. I think that this week would be fun because we could play with the water and do some rippling effects with it to make it look good and take a picture of it. We could probably take a picture of the pool on different parts of the day. I'm really excited for this week. Me and my group discussed that  i will be the one whose going to be uploading the pictures and editing them to make them look pretty for instagram.
